This bespoke staircase installation in Belgravia was designed for a prestigious private residence in one of London’s most exclusive postcodes. The sweeping curved treads are crafted from solid Sapelli hardwood — a fine-grained African timber prized for its rich reddish-brown tones and exceptional durability. The winding design flows from a wide, elegant bottom step up to the first floor, creating an immediate sense of grandeur.
Flanking the staircase are bespoke wrought iron balustrades, hand-forged with intricate organic detailing — flowing branches, tendrils and leaf motifs that echo the natural beauty of the Sapelli wood. The ironwork is finished in a dark antiqued tone, providing a striking contrast against the warm timber. A continuous curved hardwood handrail completes the design.
