This project in Newbury, Berkshire showcases a bespoke oak timber spiral staircases with a fully continuous handrail — one of our most technically demanding specialities. These staircases features rich dark-stained oak treads on an closed-riser design, paired with slender black-painted turned spindles that provide a striking contrast against the warm timber. The curved continuous handrail flows without interruption from ground floor all the way up to the second floor.
The helical staircase construction gives the staircase a light, airy quality while the dark oak finish adds depth and character. Each tread is individually crafted and fitted to follow the spiral geometry precisely, ensuring a smooth, uniform appearance throughout.
